Press ReleaseAfter defeating the Rhinos in the preliminary round, Bait Shop Lacrosse defended their title against Flying Monkey. Flying Monkey had defeated Boulevard to reach the final and were looking to win another championship after a 4 year drought.It was a sweltering 100°F during the game. Bait Shop scored the initial goal, but the Monkeys quickly countered. At the end of the first quarter, Bait Shop was ahead by a goal, a lead that they extended by one in the subsequent two quarters. The Monkeys narrowed the gap at the start of the fourth quarter, but Bait Shop poured it on to finish the game ahead 11-6. Congratulations to Bait Shop Lacrosse on their third straight Championship! |
