See you at Blackbob Park on the 9th! 01 Jan 2007 Jon Brenneman decided to hand the presidency over after more than a decade running Flying Monkey. His reign was a glorious one, with many highlights including: establishing a relationship with the Flying Monkey brewery and rebranding the old Kansas City Lacrosse Club; taking the Monkeys onto the national lacrosse scene, playing tournaments in Minnesota, Chicago, Texas and New Orleans; and almost singlehandedly winning the coveted Triple-T award at the Mardi Gras Lacrosse Tournament. Outside the GPLL, he established the original Kansas City Summer League and has become one of the top refs in the area. Thanks for all you've done, Jon. See you on the field. We've only got one out of town weekend on June 24th, so clear your schedule for that date. 17 May 2006 The Friday night "Battle of the Beers" went so well, we are going to hold more Friday night games, starting with one on May 19th. Faceoff will be at 6:30 at the same Blue Valley School District Campus fields at 151st and Metcalf. 11 May 2006 The first annual "Battle of the Beers" is Friday, May 12th. Flying Monkey will play Boulevard Lacrosse (formerly 4 Winds). After the game, the battle will continue with beers provided by both breweries. Everyone is invited to attend.
